Great Wheel Studio's Intro to Pottery Class. ( Adults Only)

Intro to Pottery

Intro to pottery, experience working in clay and on the Wheel.

Join us at artist Shawn McGuire's "Great Wheel Studio" in Cazenovia for an introductory class in pottery. This special 2 1/2 hour  program will include all materials and refreshments. All participants will have an opportunity to work on the wheel, Glaze, Fire and take home a project. The program will run on Friday, November 15th from 6pm-8:30pm. Registration is required and space is limited. We are asking for a $25.00 non-refundable deposit to hold your spot. This is to offset the cost of the program. Scholarships are available by contacting rjoseph@midyork.org.  Registration will close by November 4th, any cancelations should be made 48 hours so patrons on the waitlist can be offered a spot. We will meet at the studio, 4872 Gorge Rd, Cazenovia, New York 13035. Please note the physical nature of this activity. This is an adults only program. 

Please be aware that reserving your spot is a commitment to that spot. The Great Wheel Studio does not offer refunds or credits for classes you cannot attend so canceling still costs the library. If possible and if enough notice is given that we can fill your spot, you can get your refund back as long as another patron has filled your spot and has paid.  

A few small things of note:

-Please wear clothing and shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty (some folks like aprons).

-Bring a small hand towel, which you’ll find very handy. 

-We will be outside for part of the class, so please dress accordingly. 

-long fingernails can be problematic, if at all possible try to keep them short. 

-The studio is a large pole barn with a green roof.
